The impact of loving other people: How it can create happiness

When you are around the company of people that you love you are filled with happiness. You feel so fortunate to know them. You feel so fortunate that they are in your life. It is not just your family members or your partner, even your friends or your colleagues. It is amazing to be surrounded by the people we love and get along with. You always hear make yourself happy. But some people can create some happiness.

We are born to serve and love

Serving others is our purpose in life. Serving creates happiness in our lives not being used. It does not matter what career you have, you can be a boss but you are there to serve people. You can be a parent and you are there to serve your children. You can be sister or brother you are there to serve your siblings. These pertains to any relationship or any family dynamic. It is not about being controlled but about showing up in those relationships. Every relationship comes with expectations. It is not even about obeying every command. When you are, then you serve whoever you are connected with.

The science of being: pg 22 to love other people you must see them as good and not as evil. You must see people as good, but also as having weaknesses. Never see people as the devil. Never see people as demons. Never see any person as headed to hell. Never tell yourself that you are better than everybody because this creates self-righteousness and you might become judgmental of people. You become unaccepting of people. When you see people in a positive way you find inner peace. You get along with more people, you are more accepting of other people.

When you are humble you do not put yourself on a pedestal, this creates happiness. You realize that people have weaknesses just like you. You’re not judgmental of other people. You might ask, how can you not be judgmental of someone who does something wrong. Yes, realize that there are many ways of doing a particular thing. In most cases no one is right no one is wrong, it’s a matter of preference.

Having friendships where there is mutual respect can bring happiness

If you have a friend and you always go to them happy and always come back miserable then you are in a toxic relationship. Be around people who bring the good out of you. Friends to cherish are those whom you can laugh with. Friendships should be about having great conversations about serious things and not so serious things. We have friends to have people we can share our joys and challenges with. If you cannot do neither of the two then this will lead to unhappiness.

The Stevie Wonder song is true that there is good and bad in everyone. That you don’t have to see people as monsters. You can choose to believe that there are a lot of good people out there. Of course, there are monsters that we read about in the news, but most people are good. When I say they are good I don’t mean they that they are angels or perfect. It depends on what you focus on. If you believe that people are evil, you will only see the evil that they do. And if you believe that people are good, you will see them as only human. People can do right, people can do wrong.
